School uniform is greatly encouraged by school —we believe it offers a sense of pride in school and a feeling of belonging. We particularly ask if parents of Reception and Class 1 children can buy clothes and shoes which are easy to put on. Small children find buttons and laces very difficult. Your child’s first book bag will be provided by school: replacements can be purchased from shops selling the school uniform.

Our uniform consists of: -

• A grey sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo
• Gold/yellow polo shirt
• Dark grey trousers/shorts or skirt/pinafore
• Sensible black shoes or boots
• In the summer girls may alternatively wear a yellow checked gingham school dress.

For indoor P.E.: -

• Gold/yellow T-shirt
• Black shorts
• Black Pumps

These should be kept in a soft “pump bag” so it can be hung on your child’s peg in the cloakroom (our cloakrooms are too crowded for rucksack type bags).

For Outdoor PE : -

• Navy/black or grey tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirt
• Yellow PE t shirt
• Trainers
• Waterproof coat

We expect P.E kit to be kept at school all week.

Please make sure your child’s clothes are clearly labelled with their names – we spend too much time trying to return unmarked clothing to their rightful owners.

 If your child has pierced ears, we ask that they wear plain gold or silver stud earrings only. These must be removed for PE and swimming lessons.  A watch can be worn at the child’s own risk.
