We admint a maximum of 20 children each year into our Reception class and applications are made through the Kirklees Admissions website.

Because we do not have the restrictions of a catchment area, parents from across Kirklees make a positive choice for their children to attend    Helme C of E Academy where they are given the opportunity flourish.

Criteria for admission

Helme Church of England Academy is a single form entry school and each year we admit 20 children into Reception. We also have some places for children to come into other year groups and for these in-year admissions and transfers, the Governing Body is required to abide by the maximum limits for infant classes [5, 6 and 7 year olds], ie, 30 pupils per class.

As we are a Church of England Academy, there is a Supplementary Admission form. This only needs completing if you attend a church regularly.
