Vision and Values at Helme C of E Academy

As part of a Church of England Academy, we have a distinctive character, where Christian values are promoted and modelled in all aspects of school life. We believe it it our responsbility to empower children to reach beyond with courage and faith, challenging expectations to discover the best within themselves!

At Helme we work with parents to nurture and develop the whole child, by helping our pupils to thrive academically, emotionally, spiritually and physically to enable them to achieve their full potential. In keeping with our Christian ethos, we foster respect for individuals and their differences, and through this we uphold the British Values of democracy, rule of law, respect and understanding for all families, individual liberty and mutual respect.

Our vision of Dream, Believe, Achieve is based in the biblical teaching of the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30). God gives everyone talents and skills and it is our responsibility to nurture and develop these to be the best that we can be and improve the world around us for everyone. 

We have a close relationships with Christ Church Helme and Rev Dennis and Rev John both lead worship for us throughout the year. We often visit church for services and every half term we have a family service held in church. This is a special time where we bring our whole community together.

Helme C of E Academy promotes all Christian Values. In our school we are building foundations for the future and developing all rounded children who are ready for taking their next steps

Our children, parents, staff and governors chose the 6 main Christian values which our school focuses on throughout the year. Our values are the heart of our school and they are lived out by children and staff on a daily basis through words, actions and our whole curriculum.
